  • Virtual classes open 5-15 minutes before class time and our studio opens 15 minutes prior to start time for in-person classes. We recommend joining early to allow time to talk to the teacher if needed and get settled.

  • Hydrate; be sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

  • It is recommended to practice on an empty stomach and best not to eat anything heavy 2 hours prior to class.

  • Wear something that you can move and sweat in. (For yin, consider layers!).

  • If you have trouble logging into fitDEGREE, our online scheduling software, click "Login" > Create An Account!

Studio Guidelines


GENERAL

  • All levels are welcome to all classes. Do what you can, even if it's just to sit quietly and enjoy the energy in the room.

  • Classes are a prescribed sequence of breathing exercises and postures so we ask that you please arrive on time and remain for the full length of class.

  • If you have any major health concerns like a recent surgery, accident or injury, please let your teacher know before class. We can offer suggestions and variations to keep you safe while enjoying your practice!

IN STUDIO GUIDELINES

  • Pre-registration for class through fitDEGREE is strongly encouraged. However, pre-registration does not mean we hold class for you; classes still begin and end on time.

  • Per current CDC guidance, masks are required all times for any individuals who are not fully vaccinated. We will not require proof of vaccination but do ask that we all consider the greater good, health and safety of the community. And of course, anyone may wear a mask at any time to feel more comfortable.

  • Mat and towel rental is available: mats for $2 and towels for $3. The increased price is to help cover the cost of cleaning supplies for them. (This does not apply to premium memberships where mat & towel is included).

  • Blocks will be available at no cost but keep in mind these need to be cleaned as well so BYOB (Bring Your Own Block) is always encouraged!

  • The studio doors will open 15 minutes prior to class time and will close 15 mins after class has ended.

  • State your name when you arrive and the teacher will sign you in OR sign yourself in on the fitDEGREE app when you arrive.

  • Showers will be available but please use them quickly as the studio will still close 15 minutes after class to limit the amount of indoor interaction time as well as allow time to clean appropriately.

  • Please be mindful when passing by each other in the common areas and when setting up your mat in the yoga room to be careful not to overcrowd areas.

  • Please remove your shoes in the front reception area.

  • There are cubbies available in the changing room, but please leave your valuables at home. IAY is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. We ask that you do not bring personal belongings (yes, including cell phones!) into the yoga room.

  • We respectfully ask for silence in the yoga room so you & others can relax and meditate before and after class.

OUTDOOR CLASSES

  • Please bring your own mat, water bottle, sunscreen, etc., as there will be no rentals available.

  • Pre-registration and payment is REQUIRED 2 hours before start; no walk-ups or onsite transaction will be permitted.

  • An email will be sent in the event of weather cancellation; please make sure to enter your email correctly!
